Spring is the time when nature comes to life and we begin to feel new energy and optimism. This is the perfect time to celebrate important occasions such as Easter or Women’s Day. It is also a time to take care of our health and well-being through outdoor activities or relaxing spa treatments.

Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8, is a perfect opportunity for well-deserved rest and relaxation. We invite you to take advantage of the rich spa and wellness offer, where you can indulge in a variety of beauty treatments and relaxing massages. Especially for women, we have prepared a unique, cleansing treatment called “The First Day of Spring”, which will help each woman prepare her skin for the upcoming season.

First Day of Spring: A walk through the valley in search of crocuses and harbingers of spring

March 21, the First Day of Spring, is the perfect time to walk around the neighborhood looking for the first signs of spring. At this time of year, long walks along the streets of Zakopane are a real pleasure. We also recommend the Chochołowska Valley, with its picturesque meadows, it can be a perfect place to look for the first crocuses, which are its inseparable symbol here in Podhale.

Easter traditions: Blessing of food

Every Holy Saturday, the streets of Zakopane become full of life as residents gather in churches to traditionally bless food. People bring baskets filled with a variety of foods that will be blessed. Thanks to this, on Sunday morning, residents can enjoy a ceremonial Easter breakfast.

Easter: Festive Breakfast and “Polewacka”

On Easter Sunday, you cannot miss the festive breakfast, during which the tables are full of traditional Easter dishes. Eggs, white sausage, horseradish and Easter cake are just some of the dishes you can taste here. Traditionally, we have a real feast planned for our guests.

And then it’s time for fun!
  • Monday Śmigus-Dyngus, called “Polewacka” in Podhale, is a time of joyful fun with water. Regardless of age, residents and tourists take part in this fun, pouring water on each other and celebrating the coming spring.
  • An additional attraction on Easter Monday is the “Easter Egg Competition”, which takes place in the Kalatówki glade. These are competitions on old ski equipment, during which competitors in traditional highlander ski costumes fight for the trophy, which is the “Easter Egg” The large audience cheers, tastes Zakopane’s delicacies and drinks, and above all, has a great time!

12:00-14:00 Competitions: style riding and time trial
